This was done in ceylone colony and Anna nager coming under Gandhigram Panchayat

The M.A sociology students involved in extension in Indirapuram village near Nadupatti, 2 km away from Gandhigram in south western direction. The village physical structure was studied and social mapping was drawn with co-operation of the villagers. This was also followed by discussion on the general problems of the villages

The P.G students were engaged in village Extension and village Indirapuram near Nadupatti. The students contacted the villagers both individually and collectively and elicited data and information on employment and education status, physical facilities available, type of houses, felt needs of the villages and extent of occupation mobility. Group discussion were also held with the villagers regarding various service agencies in and around the village particularly in Indirapuram village shiramadan work was carried out as per the direction given by the village elders.

The post graduate students of Sociology were actively engaged in the extension activities such as MDGs, PURA, five family system, cycle rally for health awareness among the villages, tree plantation , distribution vegetables seeds to families for forming kitchen gardens, motivating village leaders and non-officials for sending petitions to appropriate authorities for taking care of environmental sanitations etc, of kallikkam patti and kottaipatti villages of Athoor Block
