Status Report on the Placement Bureau, GRI

The Employment Bureau of GRI was reconstituted as the Placement Bureau in February 2005 with a mandate to concentrate on training GRI students to make them employable. So, the Placement Bureau launched a series of courses in English Communication skills so far about 400 students have been trained. The students of two programmes namely. B.Tech. (Habitat Engineering) and M.A. (Development Administration) have opted wholesale for courses in English communication skills instead of the conventional part II English courses.

Between February 2005 and August 2005, the placement Bureau arranged several campus interviews for GRI students. All the post graduate students, all the Diploma students and all the B.Ed. students who passed in May 2005 have been placed (about 200).

The campus interview season commences in February 2006. This year our undergraduate students are also in demand.
